The market is located in Ras Al Khor with an approximate total area of 1000,000 m2. The site is bounded by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to the east, Ras Al Khor to the north, and Manama Road to the west. The project was built on a fast-track basis, with the initial phases carried out within 90 days. The facility includes numerous buildings; administrative offices with high finishes, warehousing units, with designated operational offices, and standard raised level loading and unloading open-shed structures. Six access points are provided to the market, four from the dual carriage way on the western side and two from the dual carriage way on the southern side of the development.

The scope of work consists of the external work including: roads, pavement, cycling tracks, hard landscape, street lighting, landscape lighting and all the associated infrastructure works.
